Alexander to Head Chorus America
Pacific Chorale artistic director John Alexander has been named president of Chorus America. Alexander began the two-year appointment June 8, the day the service organization met for its annual meeting. In other news, Edward Cumming, founding music director of the Pacific Symphony Institute at Cal State Northridge (1993-96), has been named music director of the Hartford (Conn.) Symphony. Cumming begins his four-year appointment in September 2002.
