Going for the Gold on Vacation Prices
Have you people lost all sense of perspective? In the Weekend Escape to Ojai (“The High Road to Ojai,” May 27), you listed $93.20 as the rate for a hotel room, which is OK, but also $140.48 for a dinner for two.
Are you completely out of touch with your readers? I kind of thought you must be after reading the “Looking Like a Million” cover story the same day, about San Diego-area hotels. Really, this all was too much. I can go to the same towns and find good, average hotels at half the price.
I am not alone in my belief that I can go to many places at an extremely low price compared with what you spend. I have been to Europe five times on what you say it costs for one trip. It’s time you came down to Earth with the rest of us.
