Man Drowns in Pool in Friend’s Backyard
A 39-year-old North Hollywood man drowned Sunday night in a friend’s backyard swimming pool in North Hills, authorities said.
When paramedics arrived about 10:45 p.m. at the home in the 9800 block of Noble Avenue, several people were trying to revive Joseph Munoz, said Bob Collis, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman.
Witnesses told police that Munoz was found at the bottom of the pool, said Det. Brad Cochran of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Munoz was taken to Mission Community Hospital in Panorama City, where he was pronounced dead at 11:26 p.m.
