Intervisual Gets Contract for Harry Potter Series

Intervisual Books Inc., a Santa Monica-based maker of children’s pop-up books, received contracts to produce international interactive editions of the first two novels in the Harry Potter series, written by J.K. Rowling.
Intervisual won contracts from British Broadcast Corp., France’s Gallimard Jeunesse, Germany’s Carlsen Verlag, Rubenstein Media in Holland, Ediciones in Spain, Poland’s Media Rodzina and Japan’s Sayzansha. The books will go on sale in the third quarter, the company said.
Shares rose 8 cents to close at $1.74 on the Nasdaq Small-Cap Market.
