An armored car company recovered more than $6 million in cash after losing the money at San Francisco International Airport.
Police said the cash arrived on an unidentified commercial airliner from Minneapolis. The shipment was accompanied by a courier who noticed that four bundles of $100 bills totaling $6.4 million were missing. They had fallen off a tow vehicle onto a service roadway. A British Aerospace employee spotted the bundles.
Airport officials were able to reunite the cash with the courier.
The full shipment, which belonged to Dunbar Armored, was promptly loaded and delivered to a Bay Area depository.
