Girls’ Water Polo Team Third at Junior Nationals

The SoCal 18-and-under girls’ water polo team finished third at the U.S. Water Polo junior national championships in Bloomington, Ind.
SoCal, based in Tustin, beat the Golden Bear Club of Berkeley, 7-5, in the bronze-medal game. SoCal’s only loss came Thursday against Navy, the tournament champion.
SoCal includes most of the Foothill High team that repeated as Southern Section Division I champion earlier this year.
