Teen Rape Suspects Face Additional Charges
Orange County prosecutors Tuesday added more than 20 charges to those already filed against three teenagers accused of raping two girls and beating their boyfriends.
Phu Tran, 15, and Veruk Kim, 17, now face a total of 38 counts each. Jesus Rene Green, 16, faces an additional rape charge for a total of 39 felony counts. Arraignment for the three is set for Aug. 2.
They are among five suspects in the July 3 attack in Black Star Canyon in which two boys, 16 and 17, were beaten with rocks and metal rods, and two girls, 13 and 15, were raped.
Two other suspects, Cuahutemoc Torres and Erick Dominguez, both 19, are being held at the Orange County Jail in lieu of $1-million bail, with arraignment set for next month.
