Wetlands Policy Has Its Flaws

Re “Report Finds Deep Flaws in Wetlands Program,” June 27:
Thank you for the article. It points out not only some of the difficulties of constructing wetlands but some of the failures of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in its supervisory role. It would help if the corps would revise its standards for wetlands to suit the dry West rather than try to make one-size-fits-all standards based on the rainier eastern part of the country.
