Woman Sought After Hit-Run Collision
Police were searching for a woman who fled the scene of a car accident Friday that sent a 13-year-old boy to the hospital in serious condition, authorities said.
The woman is described as white, in her late 40s and driving a light blue compact car, Los Angeles police said.
She was northbound on Van Nuys Boulevard about 1 p.m. when she turned left onto Nordhoff Street, hitting an oncoming car and sending it crashing into a light pole, officers said.
Two adults in the car she struck were hospitalized with moderate injuries. The injured boy, one of three children in the car, is expected to survive, police said.
