St. Louis Cardinal pitcher Mike James, a former Angel reliever, was arrested Jan. 24 on suspicion of drunk driving in Newport Coast, law enforcement officials said Tuesday.
James was stopped by California Highway Patrol officers investigating a report of a car being driven “recklessly fast” in a residential neighborhood, CHP spokesman Bruce Lian said.
James has three previous convictions for driving offenses since 1998, including one for driving faster than 100 mph, records show.
