A 24-year-old Palmdale man who is a suspect in a triple murder has turned himself in to authorities, Los Angeles police said Thursday.
Juan Guillen allegedly shot and killed three men and wounded another Jan. 14 outside a Pacoima home after an altercation with one of the victims who died, police said. Following the shooting, Guillen fled to Mexico, said Det. Jose Martinez of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill station. He recently returned to this area, Martinez added.
The shootings occurred when an argument between Guillen and one of the men escalated during a backyard party. Joel Gonzalez, 27, of Arleta; Jesse Abel, 24, of Pacoima, and Jack Loutsios, 17, of Mission Hills, were killed. German Lopez, 21, was wounded in his face. Guillen and the victims belonged to the same gang, police said.
Guillen will be arraigned Jan. 30 in San Fernando Municipal Court on three counts of murder and one of attempted murder.
