Melissa Jacob
El Dorado, Basketball
Jacob scored 12 of her 16 points in the fourth quarter and overtime in El Dorado’s 55-50 victory over Diamond Bar. The 5-9 junior scored five points in the fourth quarter
and added seven in overtime. She also had one of her six assists on Carly Wade’s basket at the buzzer in regulation that tied the score, 42-42. The Golden Hawks scored 13 points in overtime after scoring no more than 12 in any of the first four quarters.

Los Alamitos, Water Polo
The MVP of the Western tournament, she scored three goals to lead the Griffins to the championship.
* Carrie Twaddell
El Toro, Basketball
She had 16 points, 21 rebounds and 12 blocked shots in El Toro’s 48-35 victory over Corona del Mar.
Yohei Fukuda
University, Soccer
The senior midfielder scored two unassisted goals to lead University to a 2-1 upset of Santa Margarita, then the second-
ranked
team in Orange
County, in a nonleague
game Saturday. Fukuda, who normally
plays as a defender, scored on two free kicks. He scored the winning goal with five minutes remaining in the game to break a 1-1 tie, and his first goal came in the 15th minute to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead.

Katella, Basketball
He scored 21 points in 77-70 victory over Canyon, and 20 points, including the game-winner, in 51-50 win over Savanna.
* P.J. Montano
El Dorado, Wrestling
He won the 215-pound individual title at the Estancia tournament, winning all five of his matches.
