Now Hockey Team’s Selection Is Trashed
It saddens me to see that U.S. Olympic hockey Coach Herb Brooks passed on naming King forward Bryan Smolinski to the 2002 team. I guess it’s more important to have “star” players who are money-making dreams than it is to have players who will play with heart, effort and pride. Apparently, Herb Brooks forgot all about the U.S. room-trashing fiasco in Nagano in ’98.
Big names don’t always equate with big wins. Sometimes they equate with big embarrassments.
