Allan Ellis scored 26 points and Rob Koslowsky added 21, and Encino Crespi High upset 17th-ranked North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake, 77-71, in a boys’ basketball Mission League opener Tuesday night at Crespi.
Crespi (4-6), the defending Southern Section Division IV-AA champion, took advantage of several defensive breakdowns by the Wolverines (9-1).
Bryce Taylor finished with 23 points for Harvard-Westlake, which played the final three quarters without senior guard Craig Weinstein, who left because of a knee injury.
