Booker, Olsen Among National Nominees

Running back Lorenzo Booker of Ventura St. Bonaventure High and quarterback Ben Olsen of Thousand Oaks are among 20 nominees for Sportslink’s national football player of the year award.
Booker holds state career records for rushing yardage (8,263) and touchdowns (132) heading into St. Bonaventure’s game against Orange Lutheran for the Southern Section Division XI title Saturday.
Olsen, who has committed to Brigham Young, completed 178 of 275 passes for 2,823 yards and 29 touchdowns this season while leading Thousand Oaks to the quarterfinals of the Division IV playoffs.
