SOUTHERN SECTION
DIVISION IV: Goleta Dos Pueblos (11-2) vs. San Luis Obispo (10-3) at UC Santa Barbara, 7:30 p.m.--San Luis Obispo is appearing in its third section title game in four seasons, but looking to win its first championship since 1980. The third-seeded Tigers like to wear down opposing defenses with the running of tailback Matt McCormick and fullback Scott Garrison. But quarterback Mike Krukow, the son of former major league pitcher Mike Krukow, has thrown for 17 touchdowns. Dos Pueblos, whose head coach was fired a month before the season began after being arrested for possession of marijuana and methamphetamine, is appearing in its first title game. Quarterback Shane Lopes, wide receiver Jay Staggs and tailback Kyle Shotwell key an explosive offense, but Dos Pueblos has scored three touchdowns on defense in the last two games.
