San Luis Obispo 21, Ventura 7--Matt McCormick rushed for 237 yards and two touchdowns in 27 carries to lead the Tigers to a Division IV semifinal victory at San Luis Obispo.

McCormick’s 32-yard touchdown run with 11:19 to play in the third quarter gave the Tigers (10-3) a 14-7 lead. McCormick, who rushed for 169 yards in the second half, scored on a two-yard run with 1:34 to play in the second period to tie the score 7-7.

San Luis Obispo will play Dos Pueblos in the final.

Ventura linebacker Richard Martinez stripped the ball from McCormick and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown to give Ventura (9-4) a 7-0 lead with 9:19 to go in the first half.

Ventura running back Joaquin Real, who rushed for 214 yards in a quarterfinal victory over Thousand Oaks last week, was limited to 55 yards and did not score.
