Adult Stem Cells

Re “Stem Cell Research Matures in Montreal Studies,” Aug. 19: Dr. Freda Miller of McGill University’s Montreal Neurological Institute found that adult skin cells can be used to produce two of three basic classes of cells in the body. Preliminary results show they can generate all three. This is a great breakthrough that would eliminate the moral issue of using the human embryo. Thank you, Dr. Miller.
