Power Failure Closes Magic Mountain
From Staff Reports
Six Flags Magic Mountain was forced to close for 2 1/2 hours Saturday afternoon by a power outage, authorities said.
No one was injured or stuck on rides during the blackout, a sheriff’s deputy said. Between 15,000 and 25,000 visitors left the park and were given complimentary tickets to return at a later date, park spokeswoman Amy Means said. The outage was caused by a malfunction in a transformer, she said.
