Palmdale Girl Killed in Crash Is Identified

A 12-year-old Palmdale girl who was killed in an Oxnard car crash last week has been identified as Brenda Nummelin, coroner’s officials said.
The crash occurred about 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 5th Street and Victoria Avenue.
The collision between a Geo Metro and a pickup truck blocked the intersection for several hours, tying up traffic in all directions. Nummelin was a passenger in the car, officials said.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
