The Los Angeles Times has named Steven Barth vice president, classified advertising, in addition to his current responsibilities as general manager, Los Angeles Times Interactive.
Barth will oversee all aspects of The Times’ classified ad activities. He will report to John McKeon, senior vice president, advertising.
Universal Interactive
Universal Interactive has appointed Neal Robison vice president of technology and development.
Robison comes to Universal Interactive from Sega of America, where he was vice president of technology development and responsible for evaluating and managing new technology initiatives and business opportunities.
Robison also has written software for NASA, CNN and the Grateful Dead.
Need2Buy
Nima Bakhtiary has been named president of Need2Buy Inc., a Westlake Village-based provider of hosted sourcing and supply chain solutions for the electronics manufacturing industry. He will lead the continuing development and expansion of Need2Buy’s new Private Trading Network.
Bakhtiary comes to Need2Buy with a 20-year background in software development, sales and marketing. Most recently, he was executive vice president of strategic business development for Adexa Inc.
STS Foreign Language
Bernard Liller has been promoted to senior vice president, marketing for STS Foreign Language Services, a division of STS Media Inc. in Burbank.
