Burroughs 63, Glendale 7--Tailback Mike Perez rushed for a school-record 299 yards and three touchdowns in 16 carries to lead the host Indians (1-3), who equaled a school record for most points in a game.
Perez had touchdown runs of 13, 86 and 68 yards en route to surpassing the former mark of 269 yards set by Pat Hickman in 1975.
Burroughs rushed for 483 yards in 32 carries for a 15-yard average. Perez’s backup, Marcos Barrios, added touchdown runs of 35 and 38 yards in the fourth quarter and had 92 yards in five carries.
Glendale (0-4) scored its second touchdown of the season late in the second quarter on a 69-yard run by Ebony Henry, who finished with 89 yards in nine carries.
