Reconstruction of a stretch of State College Boulevard will begin Monday, and commuters can expect lane closures and traffic delays well into November, according to city officials.
The work will be on the strip between Lambert Road and Brea Boulevard, and drivers should expect closures on some intersecting streets during the reconstruction, the first work on the boulevard in 15 years.
The current project involves removal and replacement of the asphalt concrete pavement, adjustment of utility valves and manhole covers, and new striping. Officials expect the road to be smoother and have a 25-year life expectancy.
