The theme of this year’s fire prevention week, Oct. 8 through 14, is “Fire Drills: The Great Escape.” The City Council is urging residents to practice home fire escape plans and become better acquainted with their fire department and its fire prevention services.
The Orange County Fire Authority will hold open houses at all of its 61 fire stations Oct. 14. On that day, residents can tour the stations, meet their firefighters and learn about fire safety.
