Nordhoff 19, Bishop Diego 14--Junior Nick Kaiser rushed 28 times for 199 yards and caught a 10-yard touchdown pass for the winning score on a fake field-goal at Nordhoff (2-1).
Kaiser caught Trevor Weedon’s pass with 11:14 to play to give Nordhoff a 19-14 lead. The Rangers later stopped running back Aaron Sanchez on fourth and one at the Nordhoff four-yard line with 4:04 to play.
Kaiser scored on runs of nine and one yards in the second quarter to give Nordhoff a 13-7 lead. David Emlerick of Bishop returned the ensuing kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown to give the Cardinals a 14-13 lead at halftime.
