A La Habra man who doused his wife with gasoline and set her on fire was convicted Tuesday of arson and torture, officials said.
A jury deliberated about two hours before convicting Guy Leslie Baker, 45, of the two charges stemming from the Feb. 17 attack.
The flames left Jasmine Espinoza Baker, 37, with scars on her neck, hands and arms. Her mother, Concepcion Mendoza Cortes, 62, also suffered similar scarring on her neck, hands and arms, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Dan Wagner.
