The City Council will consider at its meeting tonight allowing six panel antennas for wireless telecommunication to be mounted to the side of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1190 Morningside Drive.
The Planning Commission approved the project in July; however resident Kay Ross, who lives near the church, appealed it, citing health concerns and a potential for the panels having a negative effect on property values. Cox/Sprint PCS representatives said the antennas are needed to expand its service area. The company is proposing to paint the panels to match the church.
The council will meet at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 505 Forest Ave. Information: (949) 497-3311.
