Concordia Defeats Hope in Women’s Volleyball
The Concordia women’s volleyball team opened Golden State Athletic Conference play Tuesday night with a three-game victory over visiting Hope International.
Emma Covington, Annie Sand and Erin Shevlin paced Concordia (9-2, 1-0). Each of them had 10 kills in the 15-2, 15-12, 15-10 victory.
Hope International’s Kristin Fuller and Kelsey Rolls had seven kills each. Hope International is 4-6, 0-1.
In nonconference men’s soccer:
Biola 1, Chapman 0 (OT)--Shaun Cole scored three minutes into overtime for host Biola (2-1). Brandon Avery had three saves for Chapman (3-2-1).
