Teenagers Killed in Car Accident Are Identified
GLENDALE — A 15-year-old Hollywood girl remained in critical condition Monday after a weekend car accident that killed two other teenagers.
The dead were identified Monday as Maria Kahudadjan, 16, of Glendale and Vage Dakorya, 17, of Panorama City, said Adelaida De La Cerda, spokeswoman at County-USC Medical Center.
The 15-year-old girl, who was not identified because of her age, is being treated at County-USC for internal injuries, De La Cerda said.
The three were passengers in a compact car driven by a 17-year-old boy from Los Angeles when it careened out of control and hit a tree. The accident occurred at 4:20 p.m. Sunday on the Colorado Boulevard extension to the northbound Golden State Freeway, the California Highway Patrol said.
The driver, who also was not identified, was treated for fractured ribs at Glendale Memorial Hospital and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
