Girl, 16, Fatally Shot in Front of House
A 16-year-old girl standing in her frontyard was shot to death Tuesday night in a drive-by attack in unincorporated South Los Angeles.
The shooting in the 1900 block of 112th Street occurred about 8 p.m., Sheriff’s Sgt. Brenda Cambra said. No description of the vehicle from which the shots were fired was available.
A teenage friend of the victim said, “We were in our house and heard a car, then shots, maybe four or five, then we heard screams.”
Trying not to cry, the neighbor added, “My friend was lying on the walkway beside her front doorstep.”
