Man Fatally Shot While Sitting in Car

A man was shot to death in a parked car in North Hollywood on Monday afternoon, and his assailant remains at large, police said.
The victim, who appeared to be in his 20s, was shot several times about 5 p.m. as he sat in a black Toyota parked in the 11500 block of Sylvan Street, said Sgt. Tom Toutant of the Los Angeles Police Department’s North Hollywood division. The man, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses told police they saw a man running from the scene, Toutant said. They described him as being in his early 20s, with a shaved head, and wearing a white T-shirt and dark trousers.
