Episcopal Diocese Names Provost
The Rev. Ernesto R. Medina has been appointed provost of the Cathedral Center of St. Paul, the administrative and ministry hub of the six-county Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles.
Medina, 39, will assume his duties Sunday as pastor to the bilingual Congregation of St. Athanasius and the Korean-speaking congregation of St. Nicholas Church. The provost also will coordinate the center’s social outreach ministries, along with its arts, grants and scholarship programs.
Ordained to the priesthood in 1988, Medina served in churches in Escondido, Upland and San Marino before becoming missioner for Christian education in the Los Angeles diocese in 1995.
