3 Restaurants Close After Inspections

The following Ventura County restaurants were closed recently after unsanitary conditions were identified by county Environmental Health Division inspectors. Information is as of Friday:
Chaviras, mobile food preparation; no water, inadequate refrigeration, unsafe food temperatures. Closed Thursday and reopened Friday.
Los Arcos Restaurant, 978 E. Main St., Santa Paula; cockroach and rodent infestation, flies, unsanitary conditions. Closed Thursday. No reopen date posted.
Wendy’s, 175 N. Ventura Road, Port Hueneme; sewage overflowing within facility. Closed Wednesday and reopened same day.

Restaurants are permitted to reopen once the problems cited are fixed. For questions or to report a complaint, call the Environmental Health Department at 654-2813 or 800-660-5474. The switchboard operates from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
