Library Offers Books Via E-Mail

Starting Monday, library users can log on to their computers and, via e-mail, receive preview chapters of books by joining the Ventura County Library Online Book Club.
Club members receive a chapter once a week from a recently published book, portions of which are sent directly to the reader via e-mail Monday through Friday.
“The Ventura County Library is excited about being able to provide this new service,” said director Starrett Kreissman. “And of course, once interest in a book is sparked, anyone can come in to the library and take advantage of being able to read the rest of the book free of charge.”
To join the online club, visit the library’s Web site at www.vencolibrary.org or by using a computer at one of the county’s 15 public libraries.
