Reader to Reader

I find it odd, with all the questionable, self-indulgent junk that passes as contemporary art, that Richard Holland bashes Yoko Ono (Letters, Oct. 22). For four decades, she has been an award-winning pioneer in her field with international acclaim and respect, long before she married that famous musician. Mr. Holland is entitled to his opinion, but that familiar Yoko-hating seems to set the tone of his letter more than any qualified understanding of art. I have found Yoko’s work evocative, uplifting and consistently original.
