Valley Firms Make List of Fastest-Growing Companies

Inc. magazine’s 19th annual ranking of the 500 fastest-growing privately held companies included several Valley firms. Among other criteria, the survey tracked the percentage of sales growth between 1995 and 1999.

Market Scan Information Systems of Westlake Village, with 3,919% growth in sales, ranked 34th. The company develops and distributes automobile leasing software.

CUShopper of Burbank came in No. 66 with a 2,706% growth in sales. The company operates an online shopping network for credit union members.

Systech Solutions of Glendale, was No. 79 with a 2,396% increase in sales. Systech provides technology consulting services and develops software. eCybersuite, Woodland Hills, saw a 1,223% increase in sales, putting the E-business and information technology services company at No. 197 on the list.

McKibben Communications, Chatsworth, ranked No. 205 with a 1,185% increase in sales. McKibben originates and distributes global TV programs and provides communication services. Mobile Storage Group, La Crescenta, had a 620% sales growth for the No. 428 spot. Glyphix Studios, Woodland Hills, ranked No. 497 with 539% growth. The firm provides brand development, Web design and strategic marketing services.

Eligible companies had to have been privately held through the end of the company’s 1999 fiscal year. The companies had to have had sales in excess of $200,000 in 1995 and 1999 sales in excess of 1998 figures. Holding companies, regulated banks and utilities were not included.
