IRVINE
The Irvine Police Department will serve it up hot next week when officers take part in local Red Ribbon Week activities with a special Pizza Night fund-raiser Thursday. Residents can place advance orders for pizzas and have them delivered to their doorstep by some of Irvine’s finest. Order forms are available at the Police Department, 1 Civic Center Circle.
Other activities for this week--dedicated to observing a drug-free lifestyle--include a field day with Drug Abuse Resistance Education officers from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Harvard Park, and a Pennies for Prevention fund-raiser from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday at several locations throughout the city.
A Fun-Faire 2000 will cap off the week from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday with food, music games and fun at Vista Verde School, 5144 Michelson Drive. Information: (949) 725-5101 or visit https://www.redribboncoalition.org
