MISSION VIEJO
The Simon Youth Foundation will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the start of construction of the Education Resource Center at the Shops at Mission Viejo at 8:30 a.m. Friday.
The resource center will be used by the Capistrano Unified School District to provide special educational programs aimed at parents, students and teachers.
The Las Flores Middle School orchestra will perform at the ceremony. Dr. James A. Fleming, superintendent of the Capistrano Unified School District, will speak on educational programs that will be available at the center.
The ceremony will take place by the entrance to the food court, next to Saks Fifth Avenue. The address is 555 The Shops at Mission Viejo.
