Post-Search Photo Unfair to Police
* I’m puzzled by the photo accompanying the lead story in your Orange County section on Oct. 6: “Ruben Guzman . . . sits in son’s room littered by police search. . . .”
I guess we’re left to assume the condition of Eduardo’s room prior to the search and conclude that the Santa Ana police should be neater in their search tactics. Or is this another subtle message from The Times that the police have no respect for the personal property of some members of our community? I wonder if we will in the future see pictures of other suspects’ homes after searches so we can evaluate, say, the Orange or Anaheim police “search neatness factor”? I also wonder if anybody will give some credit to the Santa Ana police for doing their job!
