Arcadia 47, Hoover 7--Sal Rangel rushed for 96 yards in 13 carries but the Tornadoes (0-6, 0-1) failed to keep pace at Arcadia (3-3, 1-0).
Ronny Pena scored Hoover’s only touchdown on a 15-yard pass from Robert Kurtz to cut Arcadia’s lead to 41-6 at the end of the third quarter.
Kurtz completed four of five passes for 22 yards.
Chris Handy led the Apaches, running for two touchdowns and catching another. He finished with 102 yards in nine carries.
Arcadia had 432 total yards.
