With Nettles Back in Lineup, Kennedy Has Picked Up Speed
Charles Nettles, expected to be Kennedy High’s top defensive back this season, made his debut Friday night against Monroe after missing the first five games with a broken foot.

Sophomore receiver Whitney Lewis of St. Bonaventure is one of those rare players who forces opposing coaches to take special precautions because of his speed and big-play potential.
He entered Friday night’s game against Calabasas having caught seven touchdown passes and was averaging 26.3 yards per reception.
“He’s a phenomenal player for a kid his age,” offensive coordinator Tim Gutierrez said. “He can separate from players and snag balls.”
