NEWPORT BEACH
Although the final count on the number of runners had not been tallied, at least 200 more people ran in the Harbor Heritage Run 5K race than in previous years, officials announced.
“I think it was perfect,” said Kathi Glover, chairwoman of Saturday’s event, which began and ended at the school.
The 14th annual Harbor Heritage Run, sponsored by the Newport Harbor High School PTA, raises money for programs and supplies for the high school.
The winner of this year’s 5K race was Wilhelm Giddabudy, 24, who made it to the finish line in 14 minutes, 40 seconds.
