Commercial real estate services firm Colliers Seeley has opened a new office in Palm Desert through the acquisition of Palm Desert brokerage firm Oliphant, Young & Malloy. Mervyn Kirshner is managing director of the new office. The Palm Desert office will focus on increasing Colliers Seeley’s presence in the Inland Empire, where the company already has an office in Ontario, said Cody Plott, Colliers Seeley’s president and chief executive. He described the Inland Empire as “a growth market” where commercial real estate activity is expected to continue to expand. As part of the acquisition and the opening of the new office, two of the former Oliphant, Young & Malloy’s principals, Brian Malloy and Sally Young, have joined the Palm Desert office, along with Colliers Seeley Vice President John Vogt.
