Agnes E. True; Longtime County Resident

Longtime Ventura resident Agnes E. True died at a local hospital Saturday after a lengthy illness. She was 78.
True was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Hilo, Hawaii, and was a 50-year Ventura County resident.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Ventura and was an avid seamstress. True also enjoyed gardening and traveling with her husband. The couple were members of the Wally Byan Air Stream Trailer Club.
True is survived by her husband of 58 years, Glenn C. True of Ventura; daughter Sandra Butchko of Camarillo; son Glenn C. True Jr. of Ojai; brothers Leonard Costa of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Lawrence Costa of Glendale; a granddaughter; and three grandsons.
A memorial Mass is scheduled Saturday at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Ventura. Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura is handling the arrangements.
