PLACENTIA
In a few weeks students in the Placentia Police Department DARE program will proudly sport a military Humvee vehicle.
On Tuesday, council members approved the purchase of the vehicle from a Placentia resident for $18,368.
Police and city officials hope the Humvee will attract more students to the program, which seeks to make youngsters aware of the dangers of drugs.
