SEASON AT A GLANCE: Known for being a standout baseball player, Denove has also proven to be a capable quarterback. He has thrown for 2,528 yards and has 22 touchdown passes in leading the unseeded Chargers (8-4), who finished fourth in the Marmonte League, to the playoff semifinals for the first time since 1989.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Denove completed 16 of 31 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns in leading Agoura to a 14-10 victory over Dos Pueblos in the Southern Section Division IV quarterfinals on Friday. Denove, who had four touchdown passes in a first-round upset of No. 3-seeded San Luis Obispo, has not had a pass intercepted in the playoffs.
