Library System’s Education Programs Honored
* The California Library Assn. has given the Ventura County library system four public relations excellence awards honoring fund-raising and educational programs.
An award for the “Foster Your Future Library Capital Campaign,” went to the San Buenaventura Friends of the Library, where volunteers helped raise more than $400,000 for the E. P. Foster Library renovation in downtown Ventura.
The other three went to the Ojai Library for summer reading and teen education programs.
The “Take Me to Your Reader” program for Ojai area middle and high school students will continue through Jan. 22.
