Health Inspectors Close 5 Restaurants
The following Ventura County establishments were closed recently after unsanitary conditions were identified by county Environmental Health Division inspectors.
Information is as of Friday:
* El Dorado Mexican Restaurant, 601 S. Oxnard Blvd., Oxnard. No hot water for washing utensils or hands, unsanitary conditions. Closed Wednesday and reopened Thursday.
* Red’s BBQ & Grillery, 2892 Cochran St., Simi Valley. Unsanitary conditions. Closed Wednesday and reopened Thursday.
* Busy Bee Cafe, 478 E. Main St., Ventura. Adulterated food, equipment inoperable as a result of fire. Closed Wednesday and reopened Thursday.
* Korean BBQ, 20101 N. Oxnard Blvd., Oxnard. No hot water for washing utensils or hands, unsanitary conditions. Closed Wednesday and reopened Thursday.
* Deer Lodge, 2261 Maricopa Highway, Ojai. Equipment inoperable as a result of fire. Closed Saturday and reopened the same day.
The division lists closures on a Web site updated daily. The address is https://www.ventura.org/env_hlth/closure.htm. Restaurants are permitted to reopen once the problems are fixed.
