Officers Seek Killer, Motive in Shooting
Police were seeking information Saturday in the fatal shooting of a man in Mission Hills.
The 38-year-old victim was shot in the chest about 9:10 p.m. Friday inside his house in the 14700 block of San Fernando Mission Boulevard, said Det. Frank Bishop of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division.
He stumbled out of the house and died in the middle of the street, police said. The victim’s identity was being withheld, pending notification of family members.
Officers stormed the house but did not find anyone, nor was anyone seen fleeing the scene, Bishop said.
The victim has a roommate, but he is not a suspect, Bishop said.
Police did not find the weapon and knew of no motive, Bishop said. Police ask anyone with information regarding the shooting to call (818) 834-3102 or (818) 756-8861.
