U.S. Trips to Cuba on Hold Due to Threats

A Canadian company that planned to operate cruises from the Bahamas to Cuba, allowing U.S. citizens to visit the communist island without violating U.S. travel restrictions, canceled the trips because of reported security threats. The company, Toronto-based Cuba Cruise Corp., planned twice-weekly small educational cruises from Nassau to Havana, starting Nov. 18. The company did not speculate on the source of the threats.
